OVERVIEW:

The Sport Accident Policy provides coverage to current members of Manitoba Soccer Association when there is an accident/injury resulting directly from a single sports accident. 
This insurance coverage is an excess payer policy, meaning all expenses eligible under any other health care plan(s) must be submitted to that plan(s) first.  Only amounts not eligible with any other insurer held by the member will be paid. 
The insurance period is April 1 of the current year until March 31 of the following year. 


PLEASE NOTE 

  1. The accident claim form has to be in the MSA office within 90 days of the accident causing injury.
  2. A physician / dentist must have been consulted within 30 days of the accident.

 


WHO IS COVERED?

To be eligible to make a claim on the Manitoba Soccer Association Insurance, you must have sustained the injury while participating in one of the MSA sanctioned Event or League as a REGISTERED player, coach or referee. All expenses must be prescribed by a licensed doctor, the injured must be referred to either a Physiotherapist, Chiropractor, Athletic Therapist or Massage Therapist for expenses to be reimbursed.

ACCIDENT INSURANCE COVERAGE

All expenses must be prescribed by a licensed doctor in order to be eligible for coverage. If your injury was sustained while participating in an MSA sanctioned Event or League, please complete the below form and submit with all paperwork (Forms, Referrals, Receipts, etc.) to mbsoccer@manitobasoccer.ca

MSA GENERAL INSURANCE INFORMATION

All REGISTERED Manitoba Soccer Association members are also covered under our General Comprehensive Liability coverage. The  Liability Insurance coverage is for all MSA Members including Players, Coaches, Managers, Association Executives and Program Volunteers are protected under. 

Member teams, clubs and associations requiring proof of liability insurance, typically for those using facilities that may request this information, can request a copy of this proof of insurance document by emailing jsutherland@manitobasoccer.ca
