Victor Batzel

Victor Batzel served as president of the Windsor Community Centre in the 1970's, and transitioned from that into youth soccer, later becoming a founding member and president of the Greater Winnipeg Minor Soccer Association, and finally president of the Manitoba Soccer Association. Along with his administrative activities, Victor was also an active soccer coach.

He was founding president of the St. Boniface/St. Vital Soccer Association and a former board member for the Winnipeg Fury. He also served on the Canada Soccer board of board of directors for five years and served as vice president of the CSA from 1996 to 1997.

Victor served as head of delegation with Canada's national and youth teams, including during the 1993 CONCACAF Gold Cup. He was later honored in 1999 by the CSA for his contributions with the Canada Soccer Award of Merit.

Victor was honored with a life membership to the Manitoba Soccer Association in 2002, and was inducted into the Manitoba Soccer Hall of Fame in 2018.
